Published on August 1, 2019, former Harambee Stars coach Adel Amrouche has been touring Kenya, leaving many to wonder about his intentions.
Amrouche, a Belgian trainer, has been linked to the vacant coaching job in Botswana but has been seen in Nairobi watching football matches with friends and journalists.
During his time as Harambee Stars coach, Amrouche guided the team to victory in the 2013 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in Nairobi and secured a 1-1 draw against Nigeria in a 2014 World Cup qualifying match.
However, Amrouche has stated that he is not interested in coaching in Kenya anytime soon, saying, "I am not looking for a job here. I just came here to rest and talk to friends."
Amrouche is currently involved in a legal battle with Football Kenya Federation over his summary dismissal, seeking compensation worth millions of shillings.
