Are you tired of feeling cramped in your small home? Think vertical to create more space and add beauty to your living area.

Start by optimizing your kitchen. Use wall shelves or cabinets to hang mugs, glasses, and utensils, ensuring that hooks are well-secured to prevent accidents. Avoid hanging cooking sticks near the stove, as they can conduct heat and cause a fire. Also, keep wooden shelves away from the cooking area.

Arrange your kitchen items in a symmetrical or asymmetrical order, or place pots in descending order from largest to smallest. This will prevent clutter and create a visually appealing display.

Take your vertical storage solutions to the bedroom. Consider a double-decker bed that utilizes the vertical space, freeing up floor space for other functions. Wall shelves are a great alternative to floor-standing bookshelves, keeping frequently-read books visible at a glance. Don't forget to utilize the storage behind doors, where you can hang a rack or jewelry holder.

In the bathroom, storage is key to keeping accessories out of sight. Use a cabinet with stackable vertical drawers to store linen, and install a glass shelf above the sink to provide storage for toothbrushes and shavers.

By thinking vertical, you can create the illusion of extra height and draw the eye upwards to an object of beauty and functionality.
