Manchester United's efforts to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus have hit a snag, with Inter Milan reportedly making a move to hijack the transfer.

According to reports, Inter Milan are considering a swap deal involving Mauro Icardi, who has been told to find a new club by Antonio Conte.

United had been in talks with Juventus over a deal for Dybala, which would have seen Romelu Lukaku move in the opposite direction. However, Dybala is yet to be convinced over joining United and dropping into the Europa League.

Inter Milan had been leading the chase for Lukaku, but were reluctant to go above £58m and CEO Giuseppe Marotta hit out at United for pricing them out of a deal.

Marotta has now launched a charm offensive, sending messages to Dybala in a bid to convince him to join Inter Milan.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Marotta is ready to try and counter Juventus' move, and Inter Milan could try to end the Lukaku exchange by offering Icardi to Juventus in return.
