On Saturday, August 1, 2019, the Hirani Telecoms Twenty20 tournament will witness a thrilling semi-final match between Kanbis and Sir Ali Muslim Club at Jamhuri High School at 2:30 pm.
Kanbis, who topped the league with 32 points, are hot favourites to win. Their batting line-up will be spearheaded by Dhiren Gondaria, with support from former national team captain Rakep Patel, Nelson 'Mandela' Odhiambo, Ramesh Mepani, Jayant Mepani, and Narendra Kerai.
Meanwhile, Sir Ali have polished batsmen like Sandip Adole, Hamza Zahid, and Gurdeep Singh, who have joined from Sikh Union last season. Their bowling department will be led by Vishal Kukade, with Tarandeep Singh, Gurdeep, and Adole providing support.
Alfred Luseno, a former promising fast medium bowler, has also joined Sir Ali, adding to their strength.
On the other hand, Ruaraka is the most improved team this season and will face Swamibapa in the other semi-final at the Nairobi Gymkhana.
Swamibapa have experienced players like Morris Ouma, who is enjoying good form with the bat. Their bowling attack will be led by Odhiambo, with his elder brother Lameck Onyango and younger sibling James Ngoche providing support.
As for Ruaraka, they will depend on the performance of Neel Akash with the bat, while Purshotam Vekaria and Hitesh Bhudia will be expected to be Swamibapa's main executioners in the bowling department.
The final of the tournament will be held at Sikh Union on Sunday, August 2, 2019, starting at 1:30 pm.
