Former Ushuru goal keeper Peter Mageto is on the hunt for a new club after his contract ended last season.
Mageto, who has earned the nickname 'Ospina' among fans for his similar tactics to former Arsenal goal keeper David Ospina, is currently a free agent.
Speaking to Nyakundi Report, Mageto reflected on his time at Ushuru, saying, 'The 2 seasons I was at NSL side Ushuru FC were among the best experiences in my career but after my contract came to an end I decided to go my way as a free agent to get a new challenge in my career.'
Mageto, 24, has had spells with Wazito FC and Kangemi FC before joining Ushuru. He is now targeting a new club before the season starts to enable him to fight for the first choice goal keeper early.
During the ongoing Koth Biro off-season, Mageto featured for Nyoi FC, making crucial saves in most of their games and helping the team reach the quarter final stages.
Mageto emphasized the importance of a good defence and confidence in his abilities as a goal keeper, saying, 'The work of a goal keeper is not easy as it may seem at times because you have the role of an on field coach during the game and also you need to have good instincts because at times a one on one situation may arise requiring you to react.'
