Published on August 1, 2019, Patrice Evra, a French football legend, has shared an unusual story about how a piece of chicken contributed to his move to Manchester United in 2016.

Evra, who signed for United from Monaco, credits the chicken with helping him earn a dream move to Old Trafford. He made over 350 appearances for the Red Devils, winning five Premier League titles and the Champions League.

According to Evra, the chicken was part of a ritual he started in the early 2005/06 season while playing for Monaco. He had picked up an injury while playing for the French Under-21 team and was given advice to try something unusual.

Evra visited his local butcher and obtained a piece of chicken, which he placed in his boot. He claims that this unusual remedy helped him play so well that he was signed by Manchester United in January 2006.

Under Sir Alex Ferguson, Evra emerged as an integral squad member and went on to achieve great heights in his career.

Evra's story is a testament to the power of perseverance and creativity in overcoming obstacles.
