On August 1, 2019, Tottenham Hotspur finished their pre-season with a thrilling penalty shootout win over German giants Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup final, securing a 6-5 victory after a 2-2 draw.

Spurs took an early lead, with Erik Lamela scoring in the 20th minute after a low cross from Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, and Christian Eriksen doubling the lead with a drilled shot in the 25th minute.

However, Bayern Munich staged a remarkable comeback, with teenagers Jann-Fiete Arp and Alphonso Davies scoring in the 65th and 75th minutes, respectively, to level the score.

Bayern's David Alaba and Jerome Boateng had their penalty shots saved by Tottenham's goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, securing the win for the English side.

Meanwhile, Arsenal drew 1-1 with Angers in their penultimate pre-season game, with Reiss Nelson scoring the equalizer after Farid El Melali's opener for the home side.

Substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a late goal ruled out for offside, but Arsenal won the game in a penalty shootout, with Emiliano Martinez saving the decisive penalty from ex-Gunner Jeff Reine-Adelaide to secure a 4-3 win.
