On August 1, 2019, Nairobi was abuzz with memorial services for two prominent leaders: Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso and Kibra MP Ken Okoth.
Laboso's memorial service was being held at the All Saints Cathedral, while Okoth's memorial service was underway at the Moi Girls' High School in Kibra.
Notable leaders in attendance at Laboso's memorial included Deputy President William Ruto, Energy CS Charles Keter, and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.
Meanwhile, NASA Principal Musalia Mudavadi and ODM Chairman Edwin Sifuna were among those paying their respects at Okoth's memorial service.
