Over 60 High School Students Arrested in Nakuru for Watching Porn and Smoking Bhang

Published on August 1, 2019, police in Nakuru arrested at least 60 high school students for watching porn and smoking bhang in the city's Central Business District.

The students, who were on holiday, were arrested at around noon following a tip-off from members of the public and traders at Shoppers Paradise Mall on Kenyatta Avenue.

According to the police, over 200 students were in gaming/movie shops watching porn, but only 60 were arrested. The rest managed to escape.

Nakuru East assistant commissioner John Kichwen said that there were more than 200 students watching pornographic materials from over five movie outlets in the area.

Police also arrested seven operators of the PlayStation shops, including two minors. The arrests come as schools were closing down for the August holiday.
