On August 1, 2019, a remarkable story of a new mum's terrifying pregnancy was shared with the public. Kayleigh Redmond, 32, went into labour eight times during a single pregnancy after being diagnosed with an irritable uterus.

According to reports, Kayleigh first had contractions at 19 weeks and was diagnosed by doctors as having an irritable uterus. This condition led to her spending half of her pregnancy in hospital, causing immense distress for her and her family.

Speaking about her experience, Kayleigh said, "I felt like I was in full-blown labour each time it happened. Every time it happened, we had to drop everything and rush to the hospital to check if it was the real thing."

"It was horrible," she continued. "When you start having contractions, it's supposed to be at the end of the pregnancy. You're meant to be happy that your baby is coming. But I was terrified."

Despite the challenges she faced, Kayleigh's determination and the early diagnosis of her condition helped save the baby boy, Oakley, who was born on July 1 of this year.
