On Wednesday, FIFA released the nominations for the upcoming Best awards, which will be held in Milan on September 23, 2019.
Among the nominees is Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp and three of his star players: Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Virgil van Dijk. The trio led Liverpool to the Champions League trophy and secured second place in the Premier League.
Other notable nominees for the men's award include Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus, Lionel Messi of Barcelona, and Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain.
On the women's side, American Alex Morgan and coach Jill Ellis are favorites for the female player and women's coach awards after leading the USA to the women's World Cup title in France last month.
