Chelsea has secured the future of 19-year-old goalkeeper Jamie Cu'mming, signing him to a new four-year deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.

According to the club's website, Cu'mming has been with Chelsea since the age of eight and will be the team's third choice keeper under new boss Frank Lampard next season.

During the pre-season, Cu'mming featured in three games for Chelsea, keeping just one clean sheet in the process. He was in goal when Chelsea drew 1-1 with Bohemians and then thrashed St Patrick's Athletic 4-0.

On signing his new deal, Cu'mming described it as 'a great achievement' and expressed his excitement to play under Lampard next season.

'It's brilliant news, a very proud moment for me and my family,' Cu'mming said. 'I've been here since the age of eight so to sign a new contract that keeps me here until I'm 23 is a great achievement. I'm now really looking forward to the new season. It's a great time for young players at Chelsea.'
