Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has been at the center of a controversy after a lookalike of Tanzanian celebrity Hamisa Mobetto, Assumpta Waeni, accused him of using her to gain fame in the music industry.
According to Assumpta, Eric Omondi attempted to use her to gain fame, but she refused his advances.
However, the situation has taken a dramatic turn after Madini Classic, a musician who claims to be Assumpta's boyfriend, came out and accused Eric Omondi of duping Assumpta out of KSh 60,000.
Madini Classic claimed that Eric Omondi had promised to help Assumpta promote her music in exchange for the money, but he never followed through on his promise.
Assumpta Waeni has since denied sharing intimacy with Eric Omondi, stating that she only used him to gain fame in the music industry.
"I know Madini Classic does not believe me despite using my name and Eric Omondi's to gain fame, I just want an apology and for him to know that I did not share intimacy with Eric," Assumpta said.
