Monica Okoth, the widow of late Kenyan MP Ken Okoth, has described her husband as her close friend and confidant with whom they lived a happy life together.
Speaking at a Nairobi hotel during the family's announcement of the funeral plans, Monica broke down in tears as she recounted the painful moments she witnessed her husband endure due to his cancer.
Despite appearing frail, Monica revealed that her husband had endured two years of suffering from cancer, including a two-year battle with colorectal cancer, before his death.
"I have lived a wonderful and fulfilling life with Ken Okoth, and we were close friends who have been together in many parts of the world. I felt sad seeing him suffer for two years," Monica said in a heart-wrenching speech.
