Ethiopian Airlines announced the recovery of the digital flight data recorder (DFDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) from flight ET302, which crashed on March 10, 2019, just six minutes after departing from Addis Ababa.
The airline confirmed the retrieval of the black boxes on March 11, 2019, stating they would provide critical information for determining the cause of the accident that killed all 157 people on board.
A statement shared on social media noted, "The digital flight data recorder (DFDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) of ET302 have been recovered." The devices will be analyzed by investigators to uncover factors contributing to the tragedy.
