The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) has initiated a recruitment process for field interviewers to support the DREAMS Impact Evaluation project in Nairobi's Viwandani and Korogocho neighborhoods. The study, scheduled to begin in April 2019, aims to assess the effectiveness of the DREAMS Initiative in these communities, as reported in a 2012 publication.
Qualified candidates must meet specific criteria: quantitative interviewers require a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C Plain, while qualitative interviewers need a first-degree qualification in any discipline. Applicants should reside in or have extensive knowledge of Viwandani or Korogocho, demonstrate fluency in English and Swahili, and possess experience conducting surveys with adolescent and youth populations. Proficiency in electronic data collection tools is also required.
Responsibilities include conducting structured interviews, submitting completed data for verification, maintaining accurate records, safeguarding project equipment, and attending project meetings. Candidates are required to submit a cover letter and CV with three referees, including a current employer, to [email protected] by 18 March 2019, referencing "Field interviewer: DREAMS IE - project" in the subject line. The organization emphasized that no payments are required during the recruitment process.
