Tokyo-based legal representatives for former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn confirmed plans to challenge a court ruling that barred him from participating in Tuesday’s board meeting, according to statements made Monday. The Tokyo District Court had previously rejected Ghosn’s request to attend the session, with Nissan expressing firm resistance to his presence.

"Nissan’s strong opposition to Ghosn’s attendance is very regrettable," stated lawyer Junichiro Hironaka during a press briefing. The court’s decision to deny access came as part of ongoing legal proceedings surrounding Ghosn’s disputed financial disclosures and corporate governance allegations.
