Jubilee Party officials have warned that Kenya's national development agenda faces existential risks from political actors posing as allies but seeking to sabotage progress. The leaders emphasized that achievements since 2013 could be reversed if opposition figures abandon coalition partnerships and blame the government for unmet promises.
The concerns were expressed during a public gathering at Mary Leakey High School in Kiambu County on March 11, 2019, where Deputy President William Ruto joined local leaders including Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa, Maragwa MP Mary Wamaua, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, Lari MP Jonah Mburu, and others.
The speakers pledged to block external interference in the government's development plans, framing the issue as critical to maintaining momentum on infrastructure, education, and healthcare initiatives launched since 2013.
