Lawyer Jane Muthoni Njagi, who represented former Internal Security Minister George Saitoti, was allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with the late cabinet minister, according to sources. Saitoti, who died in a plane crash, reportedly concealed significant assets in Nyeri, with a Riverside property later transferred to Muthoni.

Muthoni's legal career included high-profile clients such as Saitoti and former Defence Minister Njenga Karume. Her firm, JM Njagi and Co Advocates, moved from Nairobi's CBD to Westlands as her influence grew. A 2000 court case involving her brother, Gilbert Marua Njagi, over land in Nyeri ended in Muthoni's favor, leaving her sibling disgruntled.

Documents indicate Muthoni assisted self-proclaimed prophet David Owuor in establishing the Holiness and Repentance Ministry in 2000. An associate revealed Owuor frequently visited her office, receiving financial support for food and transportation. After Saitoti's death, Muthoni reportedly joined Owuor's ministry, coinciding with her alleged efforts to safeguard assets tied to her role as trustee of the late minister's estate.
