Oppo has launched a new sub-brand, Reno, for its smartphone lineup, with the first device scheduled for release in April 2019. The brand’s bold logo distinguishes it within the company’s product range.
While official specifications remain undisclosed, Oppo vice president Brian Shen shared details via Weibo. The upcoming model is expected to include a Snapdragon 855 processor, 10x hybrid zoom featuring a periscope lens design, and a 4065mAh battery. Shen confirmed 1 million units are available for the April launch.
The Reno line may succeed the 2018 Oppo Find X, which gained attention for its distinctive design. As part of BBK Electronics, Reno joins brands like Vivo, OnePlus, and Realme under the conglomerate.
