On July 31, 2019, the Copa Coca Cola National Championships were in full swing in Kisumu county.
Nairobi's Dagoretti Boys were among the teams competing for a spot in the semi-finals.
They secured their place after a convincing 2-0 win over Agoro Sare from Nyanza in their second match of group B.
This victory marked their second win in the group, following a 4-0 thrashing of Maweni from Machakos in their first match.
Hezekiah Oyugi scored the first goal for Dagoretti in the 25th minute, while Jesse Okoth fired home the second in the 70th minute.
Meanwhile, in the other match of the group, Boys Town from Garissa humiliated Machakos Boys 4-1.
Boys Town took the lead in the 6th minute through Mohamed Abdi, and added the second in the 13th minute courtesy of Andi Hassan.
Isa Mohammed scored the third goal before half-time in the 44th minute, while Abdulahi Siyad sealed the win with the fourth goal in the 60th minute.
Machakos Boys managed to score a consolation goal in the 29th minute through Nicholas Kioko.
Dagoretti Boys, who had already qualified, will face Boys Town of Garissa in the semi-finals.
