Gor Mahia suffered a 4-0 defeat against Zamalek in the Caf Confederation Cup Group D match held in Alexandria, Egypt, on Sunday. The Egyptian side secured the victory through goals from Mahmoud Alaa, Youssef Obama, Ferjani Sassi, and Omar El Said at El Borg Stadium.

The loss leaves Gor Mahia at the bottom of Group D, though they still have a chance to advance to the quarter-finals if they secure a win against Petro Atletico in their final group fixture at Kasarani. Zamalek lead the group with eight points, followed by Petro Atletico in second and Algerian side NA Hussein Day in third.

Abdalla opened the scoring in the 10th minute, capitalizing on a free-kick opportunity after Samuel Onyango fouled an opponent. Despite early chances, Gor Mahia's goalkeeper Fredrick Onyango made crucial saves, including a one-on-one stop against Ibrahim Obama. Youssef Obama extended Zamalek's lead 12 minutes later, finishing from close range before the hosts added two more goals in the final ten minutes to seal the win.
