Kenyan actress Immaculate Murugi, known professionally as Ashley, recounts her transformation from a Mwea street vendor to a television personality and entrepreneur. The 19-year-old, who now leads Solutions Media Productions, began her career selling utensils in 2008 before gaining recognition for her role in the TV drama Tahidi High.
As the New Generations Director 1 at the Rotary Club of Lang’ata, Murugi attributes her success to overcoming early hardships. Growing up with a single mother and a younger sibling, she faced cultural displacement after moving to Embu during her seventh class.
