Boeing Offers Technical Support Following Ethiopian Airlines Crash

US aerospace company Boeing expressed deep condolences over the loss of 157 passengers and crew on Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft that crashed shortly after takeoff from Addis Ababa on March 10, 2019.

In a statement, Boeing said: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the passengers and crew on Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, a 737 MAX 8 airplane. A Boeing technical team is prepared to provide technical assistance at the request and under the direction of the US National Transportation Safety Board."

The aircraft, which had been delivered just months earlier, was en route to Nairobi when it crashed minutes after departing the Ethiopian capital.
