It details how the SSA infiltrated the leadership of the movement opposing Zuma, particularly ahead of Ramaphosa's 2017 ANC leadership election and subsequent presidency. Zuma resigned in 2018 amid corruption allegations.
The agency reportedly became a source of financial gain for individuals both within and outside its ranks. President Ramaphosa has vowed to combat corruption, condemning the politicization of intelligence services. He emphasized the need for structural reforms, including splitting the SSA into domestic and foreign branches.
