Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa has urged Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi to show respect for President Uhuru Kenyatta, emphasizing the leader's constitutional authority and seniority during a March 2019 radio interview.
Aladwa made the remarks on Radio Jambo's 'Mazungumzo Waziwazi' program, responding to Sudi's public criticisms of the president. The MP argued that Sudi's approach risks undermining the head of state's role, advising him to address concerns through formal channels rather than public accusations.
"Sudi must recognize that Uhuru is not his peer. The president holds a position of national leadership, and such respect is essential for effective governance," Aladwa stated. He specifically criticized Sudi's allegations linking Uhuru to corruption investigations targeting Deputy President William Ruto, urging the lawmaker to present evidence to relevant institutions instead of making public claims.
