On Wednesday, police in Nakuru made a shocking discovery at three business premises in the area. The premises, licensed to operate as mail shops, were found to be hosting about 57 high school students from Nakuru High, Londiani, and Kapsabet. The students were watching movies and pornographic content while taking drugs.
Police Inspector James Kinari confirmed the arrest of three suspects and the students, stating that they had been operating businesses contrary to their licenses. The premises were found to be hosting activities that were not licensed, including the display of pornographic content.
“After thorough investigation, we found out that the students have been going there to watch movies and pornography. We have arrested the owners of those particular premises because they have not been licensed to engage in pornography, but other businesses like mail stations,” said Inspector Kinari.
The police confiscated the machines and gadgets used to watch the movies and pornographic videos. Inspector Kinari vowed to take necessary legal actions against the suspects, terming the incident as an illegality.
“We will take action against them. As a government, we cannot embrace such operations,” said Inspector Kinari. He also advised students to go straight home during school closing days to avoid unnecessary engagements.
