Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Arrives in Kenya Next Week

On August 10, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will be available in Kenya, marking the arrival of the popular smart band in the country. This was announced by Xiaomi Kenya on Twitter, reiterating an earlier teaser about the opening of a new Xiaomi Mi Store in Nairobi's CBD.

According to Xiaomi Kenya, the Mi Band 4 will be available for purchase in the country starting next week Saturday, when the CBD shop opens. The company had previously revealed that up to 2,000 units will be available, but the pricing details remain unknown.

Speculation about the pricing can be made based on the prices in other markets. In China, the base model of the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 goes for CNY 169, which is approximately Kshs 2,600. In the UK, the same smart band goes for £34.99, which is about Kshs 4,500.

However, Xiaomi Kenya has not confirmed the local pricing yet. The company has announced that the Mi Band 4 will be available at the Mi Store Launch in the CBD on August 10, as part of the #XiaomiCBDTakeOver and #MoreThanPhones events.

The standard Xiaomi Mi Band 4 features a 0.95-inch AMOLED display screen, a 2.5D tempered glass, and a 135mAh battery that's charged via a 2-Pin Pogo connector. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0 and has a connected GPS tracker that uses your phone's GPS to monitor pace and distance covered.

The Mi Band 4 has a heart rate sensor and supports multiple watch faces, DND mode, a built-in weather app, and alarm, among other features. We wait for the official pricing announcement.
