Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho is exploring a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain both reportedly interested in his services.
The Brazilian, who joined Barcelona in a £142 million move from Liverpool in January 2018, has struggled to adapt to life at the Nou Camp. During a 3-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano, Coutinho faced boos from home fans and was substituted with 10 minutes remaining. His replacement, Ivan Rakitic, set up Luis Suarez shortly after entering the match.
Coutinho has reportedly expressed frustration with his current situation, telling friends he wants to leave the club. While Manchester United is seen as his preferred destination, Ligue 1 champions PSG are also pursuing him. The French side had previously shown interest in Coutinho during his Liverpool tenure.
Tensions between Barcelona and Liverpool persist over the 2018 transfer. Liverpool's sporting director, Michael Edwards, reportedly included a clause in the deal that would require Barcelona to pay a premium to sign another Liverpool player. This has complicated potential moves for Coutinho back to Anfield.
Coutinho has contributed eight goals and five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions this season. His future remains uncertain as Barcelona seeks to strengthen its squad amid competition from other European clubs.
