Since joining Brazil's Public Ministry in 2003, Dallagnon specialized in financial crimes and money laundering. His work on the Car Wash operation, which began in 2014, involved strategic collaborations with judges and prosecutors. The task force's success hinged on plea bargains with business figures, which provided critical evidence against political elites.
Dallagnon's efforts earned international recognition, including the 2016 Transparency International Anticorruption Award and a 2018 Special Achievement Award from the International Association of Prosecutors. In Kenya, similar collaboration among the Executive, Prosecution, and Judiciary has led to high-profile corruption investigations.
