Mathare United failed to claim top spot in the Kenyan Premier League after a goalless draw against Western Stima at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani. The slum-based team remains second with 31 points, one behind leaders Bandari FC, following the stalemate.

Other league results saw Sony Sugar defeat Mount Kenya United 1-0 at Awendo, while Chemelil Sugar fell 3-0 to Sofapaka at home. Posta Rangers also drew with Kariobangi Sharks at Machakos County Stadium.

Gor Mahia faces Zamalek in the CAF Confederations Cup's Group D second leg, aiming to secure a quarter-final spot. The Kenyan champions won the first leg 4-2 at home in Nairobi and need a victory in Alexandria to advance.

Head coach Hassan Oktay expressed confidence in his team's preparation, stating they are ready to overcome the Egyptian side. Gor Mahia currently sit second in the group with six points from four matches, trailing leaders Nasr Hussein Dey on seven points.

The upcoming fixtures include Bandari FC hosting Ulinzi Stars, KCB facing Nzoia, and Vihiga United welcoming Zoo FC. Meanwhile, Petro Atletico will host Nasr Hussein Dey in Luanda.
