The marathon, initiated by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, focuses on reducing maternal and child mortality rates. Safaricom Foundation's Stephen Chege emphasized the telco's commitment to improving maternal health access through partnerships, stating, "Our mission is to transform lives through impactful investments and partnerships that improve our communities."

The event features 21km, 10km, and 5km races, alongside a 2km race for pregnant women and Paralympic categories. Over 50,000 participants are expected, with First Lady Kenyatta and other notable figures registered to take part.
