Kenyan politician Ken Okoth passed away on July 26, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. His funeral service will be held on August 1, 2019, at Uhuru Park in Nairobi, Kenya.
According to Raila Odinga, leader of the ODM party, the funeral procession will start at Moi Girls High School in Kibra before proceeding to Uhuru Park.
On August 3, 2019, Okoth's body will be taken to Homa Bay County for a second funeral service, where locals will also pay their last respects.
However, the funeral planning has been marred by controversy, with Okoth's family strongly objecting to his body being cremated instead of being buried.
