Italian media reports suggest Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is considering a potential move to Juventus, where he could succeed Massimiliano Allegri as head coach.
Allegri's contract with Juventus expires in June 2020, though the 53-year-old may seek new challenges ahead of the 2020-21 season. Juventus officials are evaluating managerial options, with Guardiola reportedly featuring prominently on their shortlist.
Italian journalist Luigi Guelpa, known for accurately predicting Cristiano Ronaldo's 2018 transfer to Juventus, claims Guardiola has already reached a verbal agreement with the Serie A club. The proposed deal would see the Spanish coach sign a four-year contract starting in 2020.
Guelpa told Radio CRC: 'I've learned that Pep Guardiola already has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus for the next four years. It's the same person who told me that Ronaldo was going to Juventus.'
Guardiola, currently under contract at Manchester City through the 2020-21 season, has secured league titles in Spain, Germany, and England. Juventus, meanwhile, are aiming for an eighth consecutive Serie A title this campaign.
