A Baringo mother is demanding justice after alleging her husband sexually abused three of her daughters, resulting in infections and a criminal investigation.
Sally Chelimo, whose identity is protected, described the abuse as a 'real beast' act, urging authorities to arrest the suspect. She revealed the father, who married her in 1999, began exhibiting violent behavior after 2005 when he started heavy drinking.
Chelimo fled the household in December 2018 after a dispute that left her near death. She claimed the man, who previously shared a bed with his daughters, subjected them to repeated abuse while she was absent. Local residents corroborated the allegations, noting his erratic behavior since divorcing two previous wives.
Police in Baringo North confirmed they are pursuing the suspect, who has gone into hiding. Deputy Commissioner Chemongis Ndiema vowed to locate him, stating, 'He will run but not hide, we will catch up with him to face the full force of the law.'
Medical reports from Kabartonjo Hospital confirmed all three daughters had physical injuries consistent with forced penetration and tested positive for a sexually transmitted infection. County officials have placed the children under protective custody with their mother.
