Air France announced the launch of two additional weekly flights to Nairobi starting April 1, aiming to enhance its African network and strengthen commercial ties between France and Kenya.
The new service, operating between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marks the airline's continued expansion in the region. This follows the resumption of direct flights to Nairobi after an 18-year gap, which began in 2018.
Arthur Dieffenthaler, Air France's general manager for Eastern Africa, highlighted the strategic importance of the route: "We will increase our Paris-Nairobi flights to five weekly services and anticipate further growth in the coming years." He noted the partnership with Kenya Airways has already driven higher bookings since the route's revival.
The expanded connectivity is expected to benefit key sectors including horticulture, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. A joint venture between Air France and Kenya Airways now operates 12 weekly flights on the Nairobi-Paris corridor, reinforcing regional economic links.
