MP Tim Wanyonyi Settles Hospital Bills for Kangemi Fire Survivors

Westlands Member of Parliament Hon. Tim Wanyonyi intervened to settle hospital bills for 15 victims of the Kangemi Dam fire in 2019, according to reports. The incident occurred at the Dam Informal Settlement, where a fire on Tuesday destroyed multiple homes, displacing 700 households and injuring over 40 people.

At Eagle Health and Clinic Services, 19 victims received medical attention. Eight individuals suffered superficial burns and were treated with medication before discharge. Six others sustained deep head and arm wounds requiring stitches and dressing. Five victims experienced severe shock and smoke inhalation complications, necessitating further care.

As of the latest update, four patients remain hospitalized for ongoing treatment.
