DStv has partnered with the Kenya Red Cross Society to organize a blood donation campaign titled 'Bleed For The Throne,' coinciding with the final season of HBO's 'Game of Thrones.' The initiative, running March 14-16, 2019, at Nairobi National Archives, aims to address blood shortages while engaging fans through a unique cultural event.

The campaign aligns with the April 14, 2019, premiere of the final season, which will air simultaneously in Kenya and the U.S. Participants will receive a Game of Thrones T-shirt and be entered to win a trip to the season's world premiere. DStv emphasized the event's significance in mobilizing fans to contribute to a tangible cause, mirroring the series' themes of sacrifice and loyalty.

Eric Odipo, MD of MultiChoice Kenya, stated the partnership seeks to harness the global 'Game of Thrones' fanbase to create a positive impact. Dr. Abass Gullet of the Kenya Red Cross highlighted the critical role of voluntary donors in saving lives, urging fans to participate regardless of their preferred characters.

The campaign, part of the broader 'For The Throne' global initiative launched in November 2018, includes international collaborations with blood donation organizations across 15 countries. The #ForTheThrone hashtag has become a central element of the marketing strategy, encouraging fans to share their dedication to the series through creative acts.
