Gospel artist Bahati publicly rebuked an Instagram user in 2019 for disparaging his wife, Diana Marua, following a social media exchange.
The incident occurred after Bahati shared a post celebrating his wife's appointment as a brand ambassador, writing: "CONGRATULATIONS BABE for becoming a brand ambassador. Enyewe In your Silence God is Bringing You More Millions."
A user identified as @nandwai responded with a comment suggesting Diana Marua would retire within a year, stating: "Shida ni next year but one ana retire... No need. This age lol."
Bahati addressed the comment directly, stating: "@Nandwai Imagine she will retire a rich and blessed by God while you will still be poor struggling and hating on favoured people." He added: "If I were you I would repent... niulize mungu nitapata wapi kazi... niwache kukua idle social media."
The artist concluded: "[I'm writing] this with lots of love because I can see ukona wivu na low self-esteem. Feel free to talk to me. I’m your successful small bro."
