The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) confirmed that a vehicle involved in an accident on Friday belonged to its office, prompting disciplinary action against two officers. The incident occurred when the vehicle, allegedly escorting a VIP, damaged a private car on Oloitoktok Road.
Ms. Waithera Gaitho shared social media posts depicting the aftermath, stating the vehicle had driven on the wrong side of the road before fleeing the scene. The ODPP directed the National Police Service to investigate the drivers and report progress on the case.
