Coke Studio Africa’s 2019 season will debut an all-female production on March 29, 2019, making it the first time the show has featured exclusively women in creative and technical roles. The finale includes female vocalists, musicians, producers, engineers, and behind-the-scenes staff across 40 countries.

The series has consistently highlighted African artistic talent, with 60% of its production team comprising women. This milestone episode aims to amplify opportunities for female professionals in music and entertainment, according to the show’s leadership.

Featured artists include Kenyan percussionist Kasiva Mutua, vocalist Wendy Kemunto, and South African producer Viola Karuri, alongside musicians from across the continent such as Uganda’s Sheebah and Tanzania’s Nandy. The all-female band will perform original arrangements during the broadcast.

Monali Shah, Coca-Cola Southern and East Africa’s Head of Content Excellence, stated, "This bold initiative showcases the extraordinary talent we’ve discovered in the entertainment sector. Fans worldwide will experience a powerful episode that celebrates women’s contributions to music."
