Kenyan singer Avril has announced her departure from King Kaka’s Kaka Empire, revealing she now collaborates with independent producers and artists. The musician, who took a break from the industry after giving birth to her son, emphasized her shift toward decentralized creative partnerships.

In an interview, Avril detailed her new approach, stating, "I used to love doing everything on my own but now I have given countless people the opportunity to contribute in my music. When they do some of the things, then I can do my work stress-free and raise my baby well."

She listed collaborators such as J Blessing, Saint P, and songwriter Lisa Akumu, while also engaging external talents for creative projects. Avril’s recent single ‘Kitoko’ featuring Congolese artist L Rice, which gained traction in 2018, marked her return to the spotlight after a period of personal and professional transition.
