Kenyan singer Avril has launched her latest single 'Kitoko' featuring Congolese artist L Rice, marking her return to the music scene after a hiatus following the birth of her son.
The artist confirmed she has severed ties with King Kaka's Kaka Empire, stating she now collaborates with independent professionals rather than a production house.
"I previously handled everything alone, but I've now created opportunities for others to contribute to my music," Avril explained. "This allows me to focus on my work and care for my child. My current team includes J Blessing, Saint P, Lisa Akumu, and three songwriters, with occasional external talent for creative projects."
