Tesla shares declined after the report surfaced, reflecting investor concerns over the potential implications of the review.
Musk drew significant public backlash in September when he was filmed smoking marijuana, drinking whiskey, and handling a sword during a live web show with comedian Joe Rogan. The incident sparked widespread social media discussion.
Representatives for Tesla, SpaceX, and the Pentagon have not commented on the ongoing review, according to the report.
