On March 7, 2019, Philips Kenya announced its partnership with the Beyond Zero campaign to support a two-kilometre walking race for pregnant women. The initiative aims to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates through health awareness and innovation.

The program involved 350 participants in their first and second trimesters who took part in the Philips Lumify Pregnancy walk. This activity is part of the First Lady’s broader Beyond Zero efforts to improve maternal healthcare outcomes.

Philips Africa CEO Jasper Westerink stated: "As a health technology company dedicated to creating the future of healthcare, we are driven to help solve the world’s toughest clinical challenges through meaningful innovation."

The event featured recovery tents equipped with Philips Lumify Portable Ultrasound devices, allowing participants to view fetal images on smartphones. The initiative supports the Beyond Zero half marathon, which raises funds for maternal healthcare programs.
