The plains of Laikipia are set to erupt into a cacophony of engine roars as the Top Fry Classic Rally gets underway from the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki.
On July 31, 2019, the rally will feature a diverse range of pre-1978 vehicles, including Porsche Carreras, Datsuns 240Zs, and Triumph TR8s, among others.
Among the participants is last year's winner, 'Baldie' Baldev Chager, who will be behind the wheel of the same Porsche Carrera 9111.
Also in the running is South African Geoff Bell, who finished second last year, and will be driving a Datsun 240Z with a V-6 engine and three carburetors.
Other notable participants include Onkar Rai, a member of the Rai motor-sporting and industrial family, and Carl 'Flash' Tundo, who will be driving a Triumph TR8.
The rally will cover approximately 1,500kms of competitive stages, running through the unique landscapes of Northern Kenya.
