President Uhuru Kenyatta began his second term on November 28, 2017, after being sworn in at Kasarni in a ceremony attended by thousands of his supporters.
However, not everyone in the opposition camp is opposed to Kenyatta's presidency. Koigi Wa Wamwere, a veteran politician and former Nakuru Senatorial aspirant, has come out to acknowledge Kenyatta's presidency, despite not voting for him.
"Whether I voted for Uhuru or not, he is the president of Kenya after he was sworn-in again on 28th November 2017," Koigi is believed to have said.
His comments seem to have contradicted his boss in Nasa, Raila Odinga, who led a parallel rally on Tuesday to disregard Kenyatta's presidency but failed to happen due to police intervention.
Wamwere's acceptance of Kenyatta's presidency has sent shivers across the opposition camp, with some of Raila's lieutenants starting to appreciate that Kenyatta is the legitimate president of Kenya.
