Hessy, an undercover police officer, publicly celebrated the death of a criminal he had previously arrested but who later bribed his way out of custody, following the thug's fatal robbery in Nairobi on March 6, 2019.

The thug was initially detained in September 2018 after being caught with falsified license plates and a police radio. Despite this, he managed to secure his release through bribery.

His escape from legal consequences ended on March 6, 2019, when he was killed during a robbery attempt at Allsops in Nairobi. Witnesses reported that he was shot and killed while attempting to steal from an M-Pesa outlet.

A local saying circulated after the incident: "Kwa kweli siku za mwizi ni arobaini," translating to "The days of the wicked are numbered."

Photographs from the 2018 arrest, including images of the thug with fake plates and a police radio, were shared alongside accounts of his eventual demise.
