Ruiru Sports Club will host the Lady Captain’s Prize golf tournament on March 9, 2019, featuring over 200 competitors from across Kenya. The event, named after Veronica Mwaura, has secured sponsorships from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Forever Living, and Trident Insurance.
The tournament follows the recent Captain’s Prize, which drew 280 participants and celebrated Peter Mwaura’s re-election as club captain. Patrick Miitii and Jane Mwaura, last weekend’s winners, are expected to compete again at the par 72 course.
Veronica Mwaura, stepping down after a successful tenure, stated the club has implemented measures to ensure smooth operations. Mary Muthoni will assume the Lady Captain role at the Thika Road facility. Over 30 prize categories are planned for the event.
