Nabii Owuor is under investigation for allegedly misappropriating funds from Jayne Muthoni, a church member, to maintain a high-end lifestyle, according to police reports.

Police at Kabete Police Station confirmed Owuor appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to answer questions about allegations he had taken Muthoni's assets. The investigation follows claims that Owuor received millions monthly from Muthoni's wealth.

Muthoni, identified as Alyce Macharia, reportedly sought medical treatment and was administered medication to address cognitive issues, though details remain unclear. A statement from her family indicated she had transferred half her assets to her husband, George Saitoti, before the allegations surfaced.

Documents suggest Owuor paid substantial salaries to staff, including two managers earning 70,000 and 100,000 shillings monthly, and two security guards receiving similar amounts. Three housekeepers were also paid, with two earning 52,000 shillings and one 20,000 shillings monthly.

Owuor is alleged to own six luxury vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz models from 2004-2012 and a 1.4-million-shilling Range Rover. His staff reportedly lived comfortably, with housekeepers receiving 10,000 shillings monthly for domestic work.

DCI officers at Kabete Police Station stated they received a complaint from Muthoni's family alleging Owuor had taken their assets. A police spokesperson confirmed the case was being investigated, with Owuor appearing at the station on March 7, 2019, as part of the inquiry.
